Joint International Conference
The Joint International Conference began when representatives of four Analytic Societies; the Psychoanalytic Society of the NYU Postdoctoral Program, the William Alanson White Psychoanalytic Society, the Toronto Society for Contemporary Psychoanalysis and the Adelphi Society for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy joined forces and created an international conference.

The two and a half-day conference is held every 2-3 years with the participation of a psychoanalytic society from that country.

The conference historically begins with an opening dinner and keynote address, followed by discussion about the conference theme. The remainder of the weekend features panels of attendees presenting papers, delicious meals as a group, and excursions into the local area.

The 2020 conference, to be held in Nafplio, Greece was cancelled due to the pandemic. We are very pleased to report that the 10th Joint International Conference was held on May 26-28, 2023 in Naxos, Greece and the 11th Joint International Conference will be held June 5-7, 2026 in Kyoto, Japan.
